Cool videos made by someone called Kutiman. They are songs/videos that are made up of bits of other youtube video clips. It’s an interesting concept and also very well executed by Kutiman. Check it out!
Softly did you sing to me, outside my window in my dreams
When I woke, I could hear your voice in me
One day we’ll have the time to stop the time
And we’ll plant two thousand trees
When we are watching movies in our sleep
When we are swimming out to sea
They’ll call us idealistic and naive
But we know what it means to give
‘Cause really giving something
Is not wanting anything in return
The birds will circle ’round you and repose
On the riverbank, you give your words to me
Sometimes into sonnets, into prose
And we know how it feels to breathe
So gather all your fortune ’round you now
It didn’t take too long to figure out
You won’t be needing any of it now, will you
The movie is pretty good too, if you are into romantic-comedy type films.
If you are looking for a pair of high-quality headphones that are versatile and sound great… get a set of these cans sucka! Seriously though, you should get these if you care about your music. Whether you are making beats in your bedroom or DJ’ing a party in a basement, riding mixer faders or riding public transit on your way to work/school, you owe it to your ears to get these ‘phones.
Let’s start with the basics.
closed-back/sealed design = they keep your music in and the rest of the world out (to a degree)
circum-aural = they go around your ears, which I prefer over supra-aural (sitting on top of your ears)
45mm driver = bigger speaker, bigger sound… duh!
15-28000 hz = Barry White lows all the way up to Mariah Carey highs
1/8″ connector with 1/4″ screw-on adaptor = you can hook up to most players/systems
I just want to plug a local band: KIND WORDS FROM BAD PEOPLE.
I’m not really sure how to describe the music, it’s quite a mix of things.
Here are some words that come to my mind: ambient, guitars, electronic, rap vocals. I think their sound would do well as background music for video games or perhaps in a movie soundtrack.
I think the band’s .com is still in the works, but if you want to find out more you can check them out on myspace. Oh yea… you can buy their music on iTunes.
